If you want to solve issue ” your organization data can’t be pasted here” then keep scrolling.
Whenever you try to paste data into an app, you may occasionally receive an odd error stating that your organization’s data cannot be posted there. This error appears to be more prevalent in new documents and can appear on computers and mobile devices. Exit the problematic app, restart your device, and see if the error persists. If this is the case, proceed with the troubleshooting steps outlined below to resolve the issue.
Your Organization’s Data Can Not Be Pasted Here
Make some changes and save the file.
Make some changes to a new file. For example, open a new Excel spreadsheet, type some text into one of the cells, and then fill in the blanks with color. After that, press the back arrow. When asked if you want to save the file, choose Yes.
Check to see if you can now paste the data from your organization into the file you just saved. If the problem persists, close the file, exit the app, and wait 30 seconds. Try to paste your data into the problematic file.
If this error occurs in one of your Office applications, try copying data from another Office application. Copy data from Word to Outlook, for example, and see if the content is pasted.
Long Press on the Screen
If you get this error on Android, long-press the screen area where you want to paste the data and choose Paste. You should be able to copy and paste your information.
If you’re using Google Keyboard, the “Your data cannot be pasted here” warning is usually just a Gboard suggestion. Long pressing on your screen should fix the issue.
Contact Your IT Admin
If the problem persists, please contact your administrator for assistance. Perhaps your current device or app management policies forbid you from copying and pasting data between apps.
If you’re an administrator, check the current Microsoft Intune policies to make sure the cut, copy, and paste functions aren’t disabled. Change the policy settings to allow users to cut, copy, and paste data between apps.
Go to the Microsoft Intune dashboard.
- Navigate to Client apps.
- Select the App protection policies you want to use.
- Examine the existing policy settings.
- Navigate to the Data Transfer tab.
- Change the settings under Restrict cut, copy, and paste between apps to allow users to copy and paste data between apps.
Update the Office suite manually
As previously stated, this could be due to an outdated version of the Outlook or Office application installed on your device. You can rule out this possibility by manually updating Office on your Windows 11/10 PC, as well as your iOS or Android device.
Microsoft Intune Data Relocation Policy should be updated
The error message in question, as previously stated, is generated by your Microsoft Intune policies. This behavior is caused by the Data Protection policy, which can be found under App Protection. You won’t be able to copy data between apps if the Restrict cut, copy, and paste between other apps feature is set to blocked. This is why the aforementioned error message appears. This, however, has no effect on protected apps, so you can freely copy data between them.
Furthermore, it can be configured to allow data copying for specific apps. Follow the steps below to double-check your policies:
- To begin, go to your Microsoft Intune dashboard.
- Then, on the left-hand side, select Client apps.
- Go to App protection policies from the left-hand pane on the Client apps screen.
- Click on the policy that is installed on your device from the list of policies to edit it. You can also create a new policy for this by clicking the Create policy button.
- Locate Under Data Transfer, you can restrict cut, copy, and paste between other apps and customize it to your liking.
- If you are creating a new policy, you will need to provide additional information such as the Platform. Furthermore, the feature in question can be found under Settings > Data Protection > Data Transfer.
- Finally, to save the policy, click the OK button.
After that, depending on how you changed your policy configuration earlier, you should be able to copy data between apps. If you create a new policy, you must assign it to the appropriate groups. Furthermore, if you are still experiencing problems when copying data between protected apps, ensure that the app is up to date. In some cases, the problem is caused by a Microsoft bug and can be resolved with a simple update.
If your device says you can’t paste your organization’s data into a specific app, make a few quick changes, then save and close the file. Then reopen it and paste your data. Alternatively, select Paste after long-pressing the screen area where you want to paste the data. If the problem persists, contact your IT administrator. Pasting data between apps may be prohibited by current app management policies.
