Why can’t I use Bastion in Overwatch 2? “Why is Bastion gone from Overwatch 2?” is a question that a lot of people are asking right now. In Overwatch 2, everyone’s favorite robot has a cool new hat, but it seems to have come with a lot of bugs.
In fact, one bug was so bad that it caused Blizzard to take the robot out of the game entirely. In our guide, we explain why Bastion isn’t in Overwatch 2 and why he was removed. Also, we try to guess when Bastion will come back in OW2.
Why is Bastion removed in Overwatch 2?
In Overwatch 2, the SST Laboratories Siege Automaton E54, or Bastion as we all know him, has been temporarily turned off. Bastion and Torbjorn are “taking a quick trip to the workshop while we fix a few bugs in their ability kits,” according to Blizzard. Even though Blizzard isn’t being very clear, when some heroes are taken out of the game completely, it usually means there are bugs that break the game or easy ways to exploit them. And Bastion is a good example of this. Then, why is Bastion being taken out of OW2?
Bastion’s kit has been changed quite a bit for OW2, and he has been given a new look. This bug has to do with his Configuration: Artillery ultimate. It should normally fire “three powerful artillery shells.”
But because of this crazy trick, he was able to let loose an endless barrage of bombs that scared his enemies from above. This is obviously very unfair and makes it hard to play against. So, Blizzard took the hero out of the game until they could fix this bug.
When Will Bastion Come Back?
At the time this was written, Blizzard hadn’t said when they thought the game would be ready. They only said that the trip will be “short.” So, it looks like we won’t have to wait too long for him to come back. Bastion should be back in Overwatch 2 by the end of this week, according to our estimates. We’ll be sure to update the article as soon as we hear anything about Bastion’s return to OW2. So, that’s everything you need to know about why Bastion has been taken out of Overwatch 2.
