Where Was Pinocchio Filmed: Pinocchio is the latest Disney animated classic to be remade as a live-action movie. It follows in the footsteps of Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, and The Lion King, even though The Lion King was made entirely with CGI.

Unlike the original hand-drawn animation, 2022’s version uses real-life locations to bring the movie and its Italian setting to life.

But where did they film the live-action remake of Pinocchio that came out in 2022?

Where Was Pinocchio Movie Filmed?

The majority of Pinocchio was filmed in Bedford, England.

The live-action version of the movie started filming on March 17, 2021, and ended on April 22, 2021, just over a month later.

Cardington Studios in Bedford, which used to be an aircraft hangar where huge zeppelin airships were built before it was turned into a film studio, was where most of the filming took place.

A lot of the movie is made with modern CGI techniques, but some of the sets, like Geppetto’s home and workshop, the village street and schoolhouse exteriors, Stromboli’s theater, Geppetto’s sailing boat, and Pleasure Island, were built in real life at Cardington Studios.

IMDb says that some extra filming was also done in Tuscany, Italy, to give the movie more of an Italian feel.
