Warzone 2.0 Download Slow : Solved

Warzone 2.0 Download Slow: The New BR is now available on Steam and Battle.net, but some users are having trouble downloading it or it is taking a long time. In my article for today, I’ll talk about how to fix this problem.

The famous Battle Royale game mode from Call of Duty is back for a second time. The game has new weapons and a new map. The new Call of Duty game, MW2, is used in parts of WZ 2.0.

Warzone 2.0 is great if you like BR games, but not so much if you like multiplayer games. This is because when Warzone 1.0 came out in 2019, it overshadowed the development of Modern Warfare, which was stopped soon after. It was the same with the Cold War. I hope MW2 won’t be like this.

Your game files are being updated; if you look closely, the download speed will be 0, but your disk usage would be higher, which means your game is downloading just fine.

You are using an old HDD, so this could take a long time. If your installation is on an HDD, you might have to wait an hour. If you have an SSD, you can put the game on it.

If you’re sure that the installation isn’t moving forward, you might need to restart Steam or Battle Launcher.

To see if your game files are being patched, do the following: Launch task manager. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc and watch how much space is being used on the disk.

You can try to fix this by changing your download region in the Steam settings:

Go to Steam Settings > Downloads Tab > Download Region and try changing from US/Singapore to another country.
Remove any restrictions on downloading if there are any

For Battle.net Launcher Users

If the Limit network bandwidth box is checked in Settings, you won’t get full speeds. How to fix it:

  1. Launch Battle.net Launcher
  2. Click on the Battle logo in the top left corner, then go to settings.
  3. Find the “Network Bandwidth” section by clicking on the “Downloads” tab and scrolling down.
  4. Here, uncheck the box that says “Limit download bandwidth,” as shown in the picture below:
  5. Click Done.
  6. After you change the settings, the speed of your downloads will go up.

Still not downloading at full speed? – There could be something else going on that is causing this. Read on to learn a few more ways to fix things.

Check your connection to the network.

Downloads need a steady connection, of course. If you don’t, every game launcher you use will have trouble with slow downloads. You can do two things to make sure of this:

Remove other devices from the network. These days, router admin panels have a bandwidth monitor that can be used to see which device is using the internet.

You can use this to find devices that use a lot of bandwidth and temporarily turn them off.
Restart Your Router: If you’re having trouble with your internet connection, you may need to restart your router. This is especially important if you use Wi-Fi or a wireless network at home.

Use a VPN

This is the last resort, because sometimes your ISP’s routing isn’t the best. This makes download speeds very slow. This problem can be fixed with a VPN. You can pick any show that you want.

Clean out your DNS

  1. Pressing Windows Key + R opens the Run dialog box, which is where you can find the command prompt.
  2. Type “cmd” into the box that says “Run,” then click “OK.”
  3. At the command prompt, type “ipconfig /flushdns” and press Enter.
  4. Use Google DNS

Download problems can be fixed right away by using Google DNS or any other custom DNS. Lifewire has a great guide on how to use the best free Public DNS.
