First, let’s figure out what’s really going on here. Since the game just came out, it’s likely that the servers are having trouble keeping up with all the people trying to log in and play.

This seems to be the most likely cause, and it’s still a problem whenever a popular online game like this one comes out. Now, let’s try to figure out what you can do to fix this error.

Even though the only sure-fire way to fix this is to wait until the developers have fixed it on their end, there are a few things you can try to see if they help.

The first step is, of course, to end the game and start it back up again. If this doesn’t work, restarting your device is the next step. Then you should turn your router back on. Also, it’s always a good idea to see if your device has any system updates.

Enable V-Sync in Nvidia Control Panel

For the Warzone 2 game, you should use the Nvidia Control Panel app to turn on the Vertical Sync feature. This will help keep the graphics from going wonky as much as possible. Remember that this method will only work if you have a graphics card from Nvidia.

  1. From the Start menu, open the Nvidia Control Panel. If it isn’t already installed, you can go to the Microsoft Store and install it.
  2. Click on “3D Settings.” Choose “Manage 3D settings in the Nvidia Control Panel interface”
  3. Choose “Program Settings,” then: Click “Add,” then choose “Warzone 2” from your PC’s list of programs.
  4. If the game app isn’t shown, click “Browse” and go to the directory on the drive where Warzone 2 was installed. Find the Warzone 2 folder and add the Warzone 2.exe program. Then choose the game from the list and add it.
  5. Now, scroll down until you see “Vertical sync.” Click on it, then choose “On” to turn it on. This will always make Warzone 2 use V-Sync.
  6. Restart your computer for the changes to take effect, then play the game again to see if the problem is still there.

Try Lowering In-Game Graphics Settings

You should first try turning down the graphics settings in the game on your PC or console to see if that fixes the frame drops or stuttering. Try turning off things like texture details, shadow effect, v-sync, anti-aliasing, etc. in the Warzone 2 display settings. This should increase the FPS and make the game run better and smoother.

Update GPU Drivers

If you haven’t updated your Windows computer’s graphics driver, make sure to install the most recent patch. To do this, you’ll need to follow the steps below to check for updates:

  1. To open the Quick Link Menu, press the Windows + X keys together.
  2. Now, from the list, click on Device Manager and then double-click on Display adapters.
  3. Click the right mouse button on the graphics card you are using.
  4. Next, choose Update driver > Choose to search for drivers automatically.
  5. If there is an update, the system will download and install it on its own.
  6. Once you’re done, restart the computer for the changes to take effect right away.

And if you play on a PC, make sure you have the latest drivers for your GPU. If you have a graphics card from Nvidia, click here, and if you have one from AMD, click here. If none of these work, the only thing left to do is be patient and wait until the connection problems are fixed.
