Skirmishes on Maddening Difficulty in Fire Emblem Engage

by Narendra

The Fire Emblem Engage is very frustrating. Skirmishes are a big topic of conversation among players, and not always in a good way. In fact, it’s not.

People who are playing on the Maddening difficulty say that they are not getting skirmishes. Some of them say that they can only show up in certain situations, but these methods don’t always work.

So, what’s going on exactly? Let’s try to figure out what to do.

Skirmishes on Maddening Difficulty in Fire Emblem Engage

As we said in the beginning, fans have been talking about the Fire Emblem Engage Skirmishes on the “Maddening” level of difficulty.

This is because they don’t appear at all on this level of difficulty. You might get a tutorial in Chapter 11, but nothing else happens after that.

Most people seem to be very sure that Skirmishes don’t happen at all on the hardest setting. Some people say that you have to give Brodia enough money before you can do the activity on Maddening, but others say that this is not true.

So, there’s really no way to be sure. Feel free to tell us about what you’ve done in the comments. Maybe we can figure out what’s going on together. If this was done on purpose by the developers, I can kind of see how it makes sense.

It’s possible that Skirmishes don’t show up on the Maddening difficulty in Fire Emblem Engage so that the game feels more “authentic.” On easier levels, you can farm Skirmishes for XP to level up your units before using Master Seals.

I don’t think that’s how the older FE games worked, from what I know. By taking away Skirmishes on Maddening, the game would force you to make tougher decisions because you wouldn’t have this easy way to earn XP.

Again, we don’t know for sure if this is true, but it would make sense. You want to be a tough guy? Well, I think this is pretty tough. Mind you, I don’t think it’s always fair, but it sure is frustrating.
