Record of Ragnarok season 2 confirmed release 2023

On August 18, 2021, it was announced that the hit anime Record of Ragnarok would be back for a second season. This was a few months after the show’s first episode.

As part of the renewal news, character designer Masaki Sato shared online a special drawing of some of the great characters who will fight in the first season.

In response to the renewal, director Masao Okubo said that season 2 would be “a fierce battle between Hanzoku (Chinese characters) in the heavenly realm, born out of relationships and conflicts that already existed!”

Even though fans were happy to hear that the show would be back, most of them expected to hear that after the first season ended in 2021. Even though the series got ratings of 6.2/10 on IMDB, 65% on Anilist, and 3.5/5 on Anime Planet, fans were definitely impressed.

Record of Ragnarok only got a 6.63/10 rating on MyAnimeList, but with over 113,000 reviews and almost 200,000 members, it was popular enough to get a second season.
