On patrol live directv: The format of “On Patrol: Live” is the same as “LIVE PD.” For three hours, the show follows police officers and sheriff’s deputies from different agencies in different cities across the country.
The hosts of the show, Dan Abrams, retired Sgt. Sean “Sticks” Larkin of the Tulsa Police Department, and Deputy Sheriff Curtis Wilson, comment on the footage minute by minute from a central studio. Ride-alongs with officers on live nights give people from the communities of the departments being shown a chance to see things for themselves.

The Reelz channel’s slogan is “Reelz makes real life really entertaining,” but viewers who watched the live series premiere of the police docuseries On Patrol: Live on Friday night at 9 p.m. didn’t feel that way. Instead, they only saw repeats of a show called “Jail: Las Vegas” and a lot of ads for a show called “KISS: The Story of Their Songs,” which is coming soon.
On Patrol: Live brings back host and executive producer Dan Abrams, Live PD executive producer John Zito, and retired Tulsa Police Department sergeant Sean “Sticks” Larkin as a co-host. Like their old show on A&E, which ended in 2020, On Patrol: Live will follow seven police departments across the country live every Friday and Saturday night from 9 p.m. to midnight.
But on the very first night, viewers couldn’t see the live feeds because of serious technical problems. Instead, Reelz had to show episodes of a reality show called Jail: Las Vegas.
As viewers took to Twitter to express their confusion and frustration, Abrams updated his own account and added: “I promise you, we are upset. Sorry!”
