Here is the guide for newport to bermuda race tracker that you can consider.
The Newport Bermuda Race, also known as the Bermuda Race, is a sailing yacht race that takes place every two years from Newport, Rhode Island to the British island of Bermuda. It is 1175 km (635 nautical miles) long.
According to its website, the Race is the oldest regularly scheduled ocean race and one of only two regularly scheduled races “held almost entirely out of sight of land.” No other yacht club in the world has had more people sign up for the Newport Bermuda Race than Indian Harbor Yacht Club.
In a typical race, the fleet goes into the rough waters of the Atlantic and Gulf Stream. This is why the race is called “The Thrash to the Onion Patch.
Once the sailors get through the rough Gulf Stream, they keep going to the finish line off St. David’s Lighthouse and then through a winding channel to the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club in Hamilton, Bermuda.
Gary Jobson said, “Having done the race is a feather in the cap of every sailor, and many consider the Lighthouse Trophy the most coveted trophy in distance racing.”
