Make sure that the NFS Unbound servers are running before you try to fix this problem. When players on PC (Steam, Origin, or Epic Games) try to play multiplayer, they get the NFS Unbound Error FTJR2008 / 00090809F.

This means they can’t play NFS Unbound Online. Since early access, many people have reported the problem, and developers are still working on a permanent fix.

But there is a way to get around the problem while they work on fixing it. A user named Tokszyq on the EA forums has shared their solution.

And this solution seems to work for everyone. Since this is an Item Synchronisation error, it has something to do with your local files and the files you save in the cloud. So, here’s what you should do:

  1. Go to C:\Users\YourUserName\Documents\Need for Speed UnboundSaveGame.
  2. Move your SaveGame folder by copying and pasting it (for example – your desktop).
  3. Once you have copied it, delete the original folder from your Documents folder in the NFS Unbound folder.
  4. Start up the game and let it save a new game.
  5. Quit playing.
  6. Go back to “SaveGame” and replace the new save file with the old one, whose name is “1.”

Several players said that this fix fixed their “NFS Unbound FTJR2008 Error Syncing System” problem. It should work for you too, and you should be able to play NFS Unbound online multiplayer again.
