Modern Warfare 2 beta dates have leaked again: Check out Release

by Narendra

A new leak says that the beta for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will happen about a month after the game comes out in October. We already knew that the Modern Warfare 2 beta would start in August, thanks to a leak from Amazon.

People liked this change from the usual beta-to-launch schedule because it would give the developer more time to use player feedback. All of that was just wishful thinking, though.

Ralph Valve, a leaker with a good track record when it comes to Call of Duty leaks, told Whatifgaming that the Modern Warfare 2 beta is set for September.

Modern Warfare 2 beta dates: News

The beta will take place over two weekends. The first one, September 15–19, is only for PlayStation consoles. The next weekend, September 22–26, Xbox and PC players will be able to join in the fun.

In typical Call of Duty fashion, each weekend will be split into two parts: the first few days will be for people who pre-ordered the game on supported platforms, and the last few days will be for everyone else. The first weekend of pre-order beta is September 15–16, and the game will be open to everyone from September 17–19.

Also, the second weekend, September 22–23, will only be available to people who pre-ordered it. It will be open to everyone September 26–27. This means that PlayStation players have many more chances to try out the beta than PC and Xbox players. During the second weekend, cross-play will be available as usual.

This means that between the end of the beta and the launch, Infinity Ward will only have about a month, which is not a lot of time. Still, Modern Warfare 2019 had a schedule that was almost the same as this one.

Modern Warfare 2 will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One on October 28.
