Lou fell in love with Celene Lopez, the owner of the Grimtooth Bar & Bunker, as soon as he got to Moodwood Mill. During a date, he said that they should go see Greg, the wild werewolf.
Greg attacked and bit them both, spreading the werewolf virus to them. Lou did not manage to impress his date. Instead, he got both of them into trouble.

Celene looked for a cure and was able to stop and reverse what Greg’s bite had done. She didn’t turn into a werewolf because of this.
Lou, on the other hand, thought he could just get through this, so he didn’t look for a solution. He is now a werewolf.
He’s still having trouble coming to terms with what he decided. Sometimes it’s hard for him to get used to his new life as a werewolf. He sometimes wishes he had tried to find a cure for the bite.
