On Saturday, the 23-year-old was seen waving what looks like a gun from the driver’s seat of a slowly moving car in an Instagram live video.
In March, Morant was suspended for eight games without pay for the same thing. After the Denver Nuggets beat him, he went live on Instagram at a Colorado nightclub and showed what turned out to be someone else’s gun.

It didn’t take more than 24 hours for the Grizzlies to say that he would miss at least two games.
After looking into what happened, the NBA found that Morant did not have the gun while traveling with the team. He was not charged with a crime by the police.
Morant met with NBA commissioner Adam Silver to talk about his behavior at the time, which was called “detrimental to the league” in a statement from the NBA.

Before he went back on the court, Morant told reporters about the counseling he got in Florida while he was away from the team. He said that he needed to be “more responsible.”
The trip to Colorado happened soon after a report from the Washington Post said that Morant attacked a teenager and threatened him with a gun during a pick-up game at his house last summer. In another case, he was said to have threatened the head of security at a Memphis mall.
In April, the Post put out a list of things that might have happened in the summer of 2022. It talked about how Memphis police seemed to mess up three reports by misrepresenting alleged suspects and witnesses at the scene of different alleged crimes or not identifying them at all.
As the team got ready to play the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round of the playoffs, Morant filed a countersuit against the teenager for slander, battery, and assault.
