Is Joe Biden Adding 13th And 14th Grade to High School? Some people on social media are worried about having to stay in school for more years after hearing that President Joe Biden wants to add the 13th and 14th grades.

You can find videos on TikTok of students talking about how they don’t want to go to school for two more years after 12th grade.

But you don’t need to think too much about extended high school because the president hasn’t made any plans like the ones people are reacting to blindly.

Is Joe Biden Adding 13th And 14th Grade?

No, Biden does not plan to add the 13th and 14th grades to high school.

Is Joe Biden Adding 13th And 14th Grade?

The first time people heard that the President wanted to add more years to high school was in June 2021, when a clip that went viral on Instagram got his words wrong. Since then, the video has been taken down, but USA Today looked into the claims.

The video supposedly showed that Biden’s “American Families Plan” would give every American four more years of free public education.

But the video had text that said, “Joe Biden Says He Wants to Make High School Last Four More Years.” This made people think that the President wanted to add two more grades.

The video also had a caption that said, “#JoeBiden doesn’t think 12 years of public school is enough.”

What Biden Said of education

When Biden said that American families need more years of education, it was clear that his words were taken out of context.

He said at the time, “I wonder if we’d think in the 21st century, like we did in the 20th, that 12 years is enough. I doubt it. In the 21st century, 12 years is no longer enough to keep up with the rest of the world.

“That’s why my American Families Plan gives everyone in the U.S. four more years of free public education, starting as soon as possible.”

By this, he meant that the extra public education would include two years of good pre-school for kids ages 3 to 4 and two more years of free community college.

He never said, as the rumors say, that he would add two more grades.

Even though school is a very important part of a person’s life, it can be hard for many to get through all the years until college.

When people heard the rumors about Biden’s plan to add more grades, they posted their thoughts on Twitter.

One person said, “If the rumors are true, it looks like the kids will be more tired this year and in the years to come.”
