Is Elden Ring Crossplay? The free Elden Ring Colosseum DLC can now be played. There is no cross-platform or cross-play, but the PvP multiplayer modes are different.
Elden Ring is one of the best games of the year, and it is nominated for GOTY in 2022. But right now, both Genshin Impact and Sonic Frontiers are beating it when it comes to fan votes.
Even though we won’t know if it won the coveted GOTY for a few more days, we can all enjoy FromSoftware’s multiplayer update today.
Is Elden Ring Crossplay?
Elden Ring is not crossplay, so the PvP Colosseum DLC does not support multiplayer between PS4/PS5, Xbox, and PC.
Even though there is no cross-platform gameplay, there is good news: the game is cross-generation. This means that the PS4 can compete with the PS5, and the Xbox One can do the same with the Series X/S.
Downloading the free Colosseum DLC is now possible on both consoles and PC. You can also still vote for FromSoftware’s masterpiece to be named the best game of 2022 at the Game Awards.
Colosseum Multiplayer Modes
Limgrave Colosseum by United Combat
In United Combat, players will be split into two teams and fight against each other in timed battles where they can come back. Each death and respawn gives points to the other team, and the team with the most points wins.
Combat Ordeal – Limgrave Colosseum
In Combat Ordeal, each Tarnished is on his or her own. In this mode, players can respawn until the timer runs out, and the winner is the one with the most points.
Duel Mode – Royal Colosseum
Two Tarnished fight to the death in a battle where they can’t come back.
In addition to all of these things, the Caelid Colosseum also lets players call on Spirit Ashes to fight alongside them.
