There are a few things you can try if you get the “Instance Inventory is Idle” error in Warzone 2 and can’t get into the DMZ. The first one is what we tried and found to work.

Get out of the DMZ and go into Battle Royale mode, but don’t start the game. Instead, go back to the main menu and try again to get into the DMZ.

We were able to get right into the game after that, for whatever reason. Turning on crossplay is another small trick that seems to work.

Again, I don’t know why that works, but it seems to get something out of the way so you can play correctly. We can all agree that bugs are strange in this way.

Waiting a few minutes is another way to fix the Warzone 2 “Instance Inventory is Idle” error and get into the DMZ. Yes, I mean it. You can just wait a little while on the error screen, and the game will fix itself.

And that’s about all we know about how to fix things. If you know of another way to solve the problem, please tell us in the comments. It’s an annoying problem, but at least the solutions aren’t too hard to figure out.
