How to Unlock Breeding Pen in Hogwarts Legacy: As the name suggests, this thing lets you breed monsters you’ve already caught and put in your Vivarium. If nothing else, that can be a decent way to make money.
Or you can do it just to fill the Vivarium up more, it’s up to you. Now that we’ve said all that, let’s jump right in.
How to Unlock Breeding Pen in Hogwarts Legacy
In Hogwarts Legacy, you need to finish the “The Elf, The Nab-Sack, and the Loom” quest before you can get the breeding pen for your Vivarium.
This will, among other things, give you access to the nab-sack, which you need to catch animals in general, including the Shiny Magical Beasts.
Check out our Conjure an Enchanted Loom guide if you don’t know how to make the loom.
Also, you need the nab-sack to do side quests for Deek, which is what you need to do next. You need to finish the quests “The Plight of the House-Elf” and “Foal of the Dead.” After you finish both of those, go back to the Vivarium through the Room of Requirement.
To get the Hogwarts Legacy Breeding Pen, the next step is to conjure it. It works pretty much the same way as the loom I mentioned above.
Cast the Conjure spell, find the Beast Breeding Pen in the menu, select it, and put it somewhere in the Vivarium. That’s pretty much all there is to it, though you might need to buy the “recipe” first from Tomes and Scrolls. Either way, once you have a pen, all you need to do is put one male and one female of the same kind of animal in it.
Use the book at the front of the room to start the “process.” After about thirty minutes of real time, the Vivarium should have a new addition. Then, if you can stand it, you can sell it at Brood and Peck.
