But many players enjoy the puzzles in the new God of War and like to figure out how to solve them on their own. Is it possible to turn off Atreus’ puzzle help in God of War Ragnarok? Why can’t we just press the X button to tell the boy to shut up? ” and let Kratos think about it some more?

Well, unfortunately, there isn’t a setting like that in the game. Maybe that option will be added in a future update, but we looked through all the game options carefully and couldn’t find a way to stop Atreus from giving puzzle hints. So you’ll either finish the puzzle quickly, which is what the game wants, or you’ll have to get some hints you don’t want.

If you REALLY don’t want to hear those hints while your brain is still turning, we found a way around it that might help. It’s not perfect, but it will do for now:

  1. Click on Options.
  2. Choose the Settings
  3. Go to the Audio & Subtitles page.
  4. Set it to 0/10 under “Dialogue Value.”
  5. Go further down in the same menu to where it says Subtitles & Captions.
  6. Turn off the subs

This way, God of War: Ragnarok will be a silent movie, and since the subtitles will also be off, you won’t be able to hear or see Atreus’ dialogue.
