How to Merge Overwatch 2 Accounts on Console and PC: Overwatch 2 is finally out, and among its many new features, cross-progression support is probably the one that veteran players are most excited about.
Now that OW2 is free-to-play, players will be able to use the same account on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.
This guide shows you how to link your Battle.net and console accounts into a single profile and how to merge your Overwatch 2 accounts.
How to Merge Overwatch 2 Accounts on Console and PC?
Every player, no matter what platform they use, will need a battle.net account. Cross-progression wasn’t possible with Overwatch 1 before because it was a paid game.
Now that Overwatch 2 is free-to-play, cross-progression support is a real possibility. From October 4, you’ll be able to play Overwatch 2 on all platforms with the same account.
This account will have everything you unlocked in Overwatch 1 and everything you unlock in the future, no matter what platform you use.
So, how do you get your Overwatch accounts to work together?
- Use your console account to sign in to Overwatch.
- Follow the steps on your phone’s screen to scan a QR Code.
- Enter the code shown on your console to connect to your Blizzard Battle.net Account or make a new one.
- Once you’re done, you’ll be asked to confirm your account the next time you log in to the game.
Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and the PC are all part of the account merge. And you can only link one account per platform.
So, make sure you choose the right accounts, because you won’t be able to change this. Blizzard says, “It’s very important to make sure that your Battle.net account is linked to the right account on each console you want to link.”
