The Locate and Rescue the Pilot quest step in Halo: Infinite: House of Reckoning requires you to find a lost pilot and save them.
Or at least that’s how the game sets things up. I’m going to tell you right now that there will be some minor spoilers in the guide for this mission.
It’s nothing you couldn’t have guessed on your own, but I need to tell you the “twist” in order to help you. So, now that that’s out of the way, here’s how to find and save the pilot in Halo Infinite’s House of Reckoning.
Locate and Rescue Pilot Halo Infinite House of Reckoning
The “Find and Save the Pilot” quest in Halo: Infinite: House of Reckoning doesn’t let you find the pilot. So far as we can tell, the pilot is very much no longer alive.

The game doesn’t tell you this because it wants to make you feel something, but this makes the quest harder to understand.
You need to fight your way through the first two training rooms and then grapple into the ship in the third room. Look at the floor right in front of you as soon as you walk through the door.
You will see a small disc that you need to get close to and check out. From there, things will start to happen very quickly, so be ready with that Threat Sensor.
So, that’s how you find the pilot and save him in Halo: Infinite: House of Reckoning: you find a message from the pilot’s family.
As soon as you walk into the training room, the message will start playing over and over again, which is very creepy and ominous.
This message comes from the disc, which you’ll find out when you pick it up. It’s also a trap, as you might have guessed from the force field that pops up behind you.
During a cutscene, a cloaked enemy will show up and say pretty much the same thing. Then you fight. You should be able to win with just the Threat Sensor and your righteous anger at what you just saw.
