How to add Friends on Playstation, Xbox, Steam CoD Modern Warfare 2
The first step is to invite your friends. If you’re using a PlayStation or Xbox, press the Start button while in the game. If you’re using Steam, look in the upper-right corner of the screen, next to your multiplayer rank.
Then, select “Social,” followed by “Friends.” Finally, click on the “Add Friends” button.
You can now add friends who are playing CoD Modern Warfare 2 on the same platform as you or on a different platform. Friends who are not playing CoD MW2 on the same platform are classified as “Activision friends.”
You’ll need to enter your Activision ID to add them. If you don’t know what your ID is, go to Settings and then “Account & Network.”
A common issue is that your friends appear to be offline – even when they are not. If you know for a fact that they are online, you can safely disregard this – sending them an invite will work even if the game says they are offline.
Go to the “Social” tab and select the “Hub” tab to invite them. From there, select “Your Party,” then “Invite to Party,” and then choose a friend from the list to play with.
