The controls for Switch are mostly the same. You need to move the D-Pad in the right direction and press ZL. There are two ways to do this on a PC.

The easiest way is to press and hold shift + 1/2/3/4. You can also heal the mercenary by dragging a potion from your inventory and dropping it on his portrait. This part of the screen should be in the upper left corner.

If your mercenary dies, you may wish to bring them back to life. You can do this by talking to non-player characters (NPCs) in each act. These NPCs will revive you. The following are the people you need:

Kashya in Act I
Greiz in Act II
Asheara in Act III
Tyreal in Act IV
Qual-Kehk in Act V

Think carefully about your resurrections. To do this, you have to pay a lot of money, up to 50,000 gold. The price will go up as the level of the merc goes up. This means that you may find that it gives you less and less in return. It might be cheaper to hire a new mercenary at the same or a higher level.
