In Slime Rancher 2, you kind of have to wait until they turn into statues to get and find Ringtail Slimes.

That is the only way to know for sure where they are. At night, they are very sneaky and love to steal as much as they can of anything they can.

In other words, it’s very hard to even see them, let alone catch them when they’re moving. But as soon as the sun rises, they turn into stone. If you look closely at the screenshot above, you can see what they look like when they are frozen.

When that happens, you can catch them and take them back to your farm (more on that in a bit). These rare Slimes seem to spawn everywhere, but they seem to be most common around the lava rivers on Ember Island.
