We were actually fooled by developers from Raven Software and Infinity Ward. Everyone thought that this mysterious new Building 21 was a new place on Al Mazrah, the huge main map for Warzone 2 and DMZ.
But that’s not what’s happening. According to the patch notes, “accessing the biological lab known as Building 21 will take players out of Al Mazrah and into a very dangerous new part of DMZ.”
So, Building 21 is not a brand-new place in Al MAzrah. Instead, we will get to explore a brand-new area!
So, there you go: Building 21 will be a brand-new map!
You can choose it from the main menu, where you can also choose whether you want to be sent to Al Mazrah or here. But in order to get in, you’ll need the Building 21 Keycard. Let’s see where in DMZ we can find the Building 21 Keycard.
How to Get DMZ Building 21 Keycard
“DRC Building 21 Access Card” is the accurate name of this thing. The first step to getting to the new map is to find this item. The key to Building 21 is not in a certain place in Al Mazrah. Instead, it is a random drop, so you’ll need a little bit of luck to get one.
They will show up as rare drops from AI enemies that have died. According to the first reports from players, they are often found in supply drops. Whether they come from planes shot down by SAM or from the area around the 8-minute mark.
