The new season is about space pirates, and what’s a pirate story without treasure maps? In Season 18, you’ll need to make treasure maps to get seasonal items.
And to do that, you will first need to find some pieces of the map. But for many players, map fragments aren’t dropping from Ketchcrash runs.
If you’re playing Ketchcrash and you’re not getting any map fragments, keep reading for a few possible ways to fix the problem.
How to Fix Map Fragments Not Dropping in Destiny 2
In Destiny 2 Season 18, it’s important to get map pieces. In the Season of Plunder, it is the main form of money.
It will let you make treasure maps in your Captain’s Atlas, which will get you an extra reward chest at the end of the Expedition activity.
As of right now, you can only get map pieces by doing the Ketchcrash activity. At the start of the new season, this seems to be a little bit broken.
Specifically, it seems that players don’t get any map pieces when they finish a Ketchcrash run successfully. If you have the same problem, here are a few simple things you can try that might help:
- Your stock is all sold out. This is probably the main reason why you aren’t getting them. Make some room in your stock of consumables.
- When you finish the Ketchcrash task, you get them, but the game doesn’t tell you (they don’t show up as a reward).
- If you can’t get them, try logging in and out of the game a few times.
- Make sure you are not affected by the Ketchcrash bug.
