To change the Wanderer’s name, you must first do the Archon Quest Interlude Chapter: Act III – Inversion of Genesis quest As Though Morning Dew. Here, you’ll be able to give him a new name.
But there are a few things you need to know before you do this. First of all, he won’t agree to a few names. These include his previous names (Scaramouche, Balladeer, Kunikuzushi, and Kabukimono), the names of the Fatui Harbingers, the Player Character’s Name or Paimon’s, Morax, and Traveler.
Also, there can’t be a space in his new name. Which means you can’t name him Billy Bob or something else with two parts. If you call him any of these, he will not like it.
Once you’ve changed his name, you’ll get a special new item called An Appellative Stroke. You can change his name again if you use this item. But after you do that, you won’t be able to change it anymore.
