How to Change Tera Type in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: In the newest Pokemon game, a new Tera Type feature is added. With this “Terastal phenomenon,” players can turn on a Pokémon’s Tera Type, which gives it access to new special moves and makes up for some of its weaknesses.
At the start, there will be 18 Tera types, and each Pokemon will have one. You will be able to change that Tera Type, though, if you don’t like it. In this guide, we tell you what you need to do to get your Pokemon to the Tera Type.
How to Change Tera Type in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
Each Pokemon in Scarlet and Violet has a Tera Type that it starts with. There are 18 different types of Tera, and there are a lot of different ways to combine Pokemon and Tera types.
That’s because any of the Tera Types can be randomly attached to a certain Pokemon. But the good news is that you won’t have to stay with that Type if you don’t need it.
Also, you won’t have to wander around aimlessly looking for a certain Tera Type Pokemon that you want or need. Instead, you’ll just be able to change a Pokemon’s Tera Type to one that works better for you.
So, in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, how do you change Tera’s type? You will need Tera Shards to do this, though. In the Paldea area, there are 18 different Tera Shards. Each Tera Type has its own type of shard.
And, you guessed it, you’ll need a certain kind of shards to switch to a different Tera Type. For example, you’ll need 50 Flying Tera Shards to change your Normal Tera Type Pokemon into a Flying Tera Type.
There are different Tera Shards all over the world. Tera Raids will also give them out as rewards. And as far as we know, you can only use Tera Shards to change your Tera Type in one place. At the Treasure Eatery Medali, you can do this.
