How to catch Wiglett in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, you have to be very careful if you want to catch and get a Wiglett. If you get too close, or if they see or hear you coming, they will put their heads under the sand.

It can be a lot of trouble. So, you need to either sneak up on them by walking quietly or start a fight with them from far away. For the second, you have to be very specific.
You might be able to do it with a little practice, though. At least, that’s how we did it. If you’d rather sneak, that’s fine. Wigletts can be found on the edge of the water at several beaches in Paldea. In the picture below, you can see where they tend to live.
So, that’s where you can find Wigletts and how to catch them in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. As you may have already guessed, the new wormy Water-type Pokemon is a water version of Diglett.
Aside from their type, they are pretty much the same. When a Wiglett gets to level 26, it changes into Wugtrio. And since you can get them pretty quickly, it’s not a bad Water-type to use when you’re just starting out.
If you don’t pick Quaxly as your starting Pokemon. When you get Gyarados and other Water beasts like it, you can safely get rid of Wiglett/Wugtrio.
