Hocus Pocus 2 spoilers: Hocus Pocus 2, the long-awaited sequel to the classic Halloween movie Hocus Pocus, finally came out this Friday, September 30, 2022, on the popular streaming service Disney +. Jen D’Angelo wrote the second book, and Anne Fletcher ran the show.

Bette Midler plays Winifred “Winnie” Sanderson, Sarah Jessica Parker plays her daughter Sarah Sanderson, and Kathy Najimy plays her daughter Mary Sanderson in the sequel.
Since the movie showed up on Disney +, it has been talked about all over the world. People on Twitter talked about how they felt about the second movie.
The Sanderson sisters, Winnie, Mary, and Sarah, are back in the sequel. They are always fun and charming, and this Halloween, they are sure to cause more trouble.

What Happens to Sanderson Sisters?
The Sanderson Sisters are once again stopped by young, meddling kids like the bad guys in Scooby-Doo. They find a worthy opponent in Becca, who becomes the new keeper of Winnie’s favorite one-eyed book after giving it a choice that it gladly took. In the beginning flashbacks, Hocus Pocus 2 shows that Winnie’s main goal in life was to keep the three of them together.
Even though she is cruel and mean to Sarah and Mary, they are the most important thing to her. She is so focused on finding eternal youth and immortality that she ignores all of the warnings that a spell that big will cause them to lose the most important thing to them.
When the Black Flame goes out at the end of the Sanderson Sisters’ scary night, they think they’ve finally won. They stand there in the forest, all three of them alive and whole, until they aren’t. Becca tries to tell Winnie what she’s agreed to, but it’s already too late to change what she’s done.
She gave up her sisters so she could live forever. Sarah and Mary say goodbye with tears in their eyes as they slowly turn into glittering dust around a horrified Winnie. The good news is that the spell can be broken. But instead of bringing Sarah and Mary back, the same thing happens to Winnie. As she slowly changes into colorful sparkles, she seems happy to be joining her sisters in whatever afterlife they have been given.
What Happens to Becca and Newfound Coven?
At the beginning of Hocus Pocus 2, Becca and Cassie were definitely at odds with each other. This was mostly because Becca’s jerk jock boyfriend made fun of her for being a witch, but by the end of the movie, the three of them are as close as ever, having made up in the face of real danger.
Even though Cassie and Izzy aren’t her sisters like Sarah and Mary were for Winnie, it’s clear that the three girls have formed their own power-of-three coven. Even more so when they’re shown doing the same little two-step that the Sanderson Sisters were famous for as they walk off into the night.
Becca and her friends probably won’t be lighting Black Flame candles or trying to live forever any time soon, but if Disney decides to make a third Hocus Pocus movie, this trio will definitely keep looking for magic.
What Happens to Billy Butcherson?
In Hocus Pocus, we realized that Billy Butcherson was Winnie’s ex-boyfriend, even though Sarah was adamant that he was also her boyfriend. Billy had a sad end when Winnie poisoned him in the 17th century and then brought him back as a zombie 300 years later. But the second book shows that this wasn’t the case. Not by a long shot.
At the beginning of the movie, we see the Sanderson Sisters as they were when they were younger in Salem in the 1600s. They were causing trouble and, in Winnie’s case, trying to avoid getting married to the reverend’s son.
After an angry crowd gathers around the Sanderson house, Winnie says that she can’t marry Traske’s son because her soulmate is Billy Butcherson, who didn’t get the memo. Instead, Billy says that the only thing they did together was kiss in the cemetery.
When Billy is brought back to life again by Gilbert in the 21st century, he makes it clear that he was never Winnie’s long-lost love. But that doesn’t stop her from putting his head in her spell as the “head of a lover.”
Even though Billy has been through a lot of trouble, both in this movie and thirty years ago, he will finally be at peace for all time. When Winnie’s spell is broken, so is the spell that kept Billy’s body from moving.
This means that Billy can now turn into shimmering dust in the wind. After everything that happened, Gilbert promises to rewrite his ghost tours to tell the real story of Billy Butcherson and make him the tragic character he deserves to be since Winifred used him.
