Gorilla tag not working : Solved

by Anchal Thakur

Gorilla tag not working : Even though Gorilla Tag has only been available on Quest’s App Lab so far, it has become a huge hit. Now that the game is on the main Quest Store, it is officially the most-rated game on the whole store, even more so than Beat Saber, which is one of the best-known VR apps.

Gorilla Tag is a simple multiplayer game of tag with unique hand-based movement and charmingly low-fi graphics. It has found a following even though it isn’t in the main Quest store.

Gorilla Tag has only been on App Lab since March 2021, but it already has 46,000 reviews. That’s more than any other Quest app, even ones on the main store, and even more than Beat Saber, which has 45,000 reviews and may be VR’s most famous game to date. Gorilla Tag is free, which gives it an advantage over Beat Saber.

The game also has the most reviews of any free app, even those on the main store, beating out Rec Room, which has 22,000 reviews and is currently the best free app.

Now, the game is finally making its way to the main Quest store, where it will only get more popular. Developer Kerestell Smith has said that Gorilla Tag will be available on the main Quest store on December 15. Gorilla Tag is also available on PC VR

Make sure your graphics card drivers and other software are up to date

Before you start yelling at the development team, make sure you’ve downloaded the latest drivers for your graphics card from the company’s website.

There are often optimized drivers made just for a certain game. If installing the current version of the driver doesn’t fix the problem, you can also try installing an older version.

It’s important to remember that you should only load the final version of the video card driver. If you can, try not to use the beta version, which can have a lot of bugs.

Don’t forget that you may need to install the latest version of DirectX for the game to work well. You can find and download the latest version of DirectX from the official Microsoft website.

Bad installation

Most problems with games that won’t start are caused by bad installation. Check to see if there was an error during installation. If there was, try deleting the game and running the installer again, but don’t forget to turn off your antivirus software first, since it can sometimes delete files by accident during installation.

It is also important to remember that the path to the folder with a game should only have Latin letters and numbers.

You also need to make sure that the HDD has enough space for the installation. You can also try running the game as an administrator in compatibility mode with different versions of Windows.

Graphic Settings

The first thing you can do to fix this problem is to update the drivers for your video card. This action can make a big difference in game FPS.

Also, open the Task Manager by pressing CTRL + SHIFT + ESCAPE and check how much CPU and memory are being used. If you look at Task Manager before starting the game and see that a process uses too many resources, you can either turn off the program or just delete it from Task Manager.

Next, go to the game’s graphics settings. First, turn off anti-aliasing and try to turn down the post-processing setting. Many of them use a lot of resources, so turning them off will make the computer run much faster without much change to the picture quality.

Gorilla Tag power to run

If Gorilla Tag crashes to the desktop often, try lowering the graphics quality. It’s possible that your computer just doesn’t have enough power to run the game well.

Also, it’s a good idea to check for updates. Most games today have systems that install patches automatically when the game starts up if an internet connection is available. Check the settings to see if this option is turned off, and if it is, turn it on.

Problem with your GPU

Most of the time, a black screen is caused by a problem with your GPU. Check if your video card meets the minimum requirements and make sure you have the most recent drivers. CPU performance can sometimes be to blame for a black screen.

If your hardware is fine and meets the minimum requirements, try switching to another window by pressing ALT+TAB and then going back to the game screen.

Space for the installation

First, make sure that the HDD has enough space for the installation. Remember that for installer to work properly, it needs the amount of space it says it needs, plus an extra 1-2 GB of free space on the system drive.

In general, remember this rule: you must always have at least 2 gigabytes of free space on your system drive (usually disk C) for temporary files. If you don’t, the games and other software might not work right or won’t even start.

Problems with the installation could also be caused by not being able to connect to the internet or by it being unstable. Also, don’t forget to turn off the antivirus before installing the time game. Sometimes it gets in the way of the right file copy or deletes files by accident because it thinks they are viruses.
