Story of Goose Island
The story of Goose Island begins when its founder, beer lover John Hall, went on a trip across the continent.
“Pint by pint, he enjoyed the styles and choices of brews in every region and thought to himself, ‘America deserves some damn fine beer like this, too.'”
At the time, no one knew about craft brewing, so John set out to change that. He moved back to his hometown of Chicago, which has “rapidly changing tastes and the world’s largest fresh water system.”
