Does The Invitation have post credit scene: The horror movie The Invitation, which is based on Dracula, will be shown in theaters on Friday, August 26, 2022. The Invitation is called a “modern horror thriller.” It’s about a young woman who is courted and swept off her feet, only to find out that a gothic plot is in the works.

In this plot, bloodsuckers from classic literature are involved. Before the movie came out, Bloody Disgusting talked to the director, Jessica M. Thompson, about the modern take on the story and how it was made.

The director told us that she shot her vampire movie in a castle with ties to Elizabeth Bathory, a serial killer who was obsessed with blood.

She says, “To me, it was the beginning of the Bride of Dracula story.” That’s what got my attention, because we hadn’t seen that before. We’ve already done Dracula a lot, so let’s do the brides. We use the fact that we want to see and hear about new stories as a starting point. It’s not really an attempt to stay true to the book or tell it again.

“We have some of the same characters and some of the same character names, which I think are nice little Easter eggs for people who really like Dracula. But I hope people come in with an open mind because we’ve given these characters a modern twist.” Check out is the invitation have credit scenes.
