Does See How They Run have post credit scene: The basic idea behind See How They Run is that a whodunit is hidden inside a real whodunit, in this case Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap.
It gives Tom George’s film a lot of different genres to make fun of—a it’s backstage drama, a crime thriller, and a police procedural, all wrapped up in a farce—but it also gives it a knowing, self-referential quality that brings the conventions and conceits of the murder-mystery to the forefront.
It doesn’t quite work, but it’s fast, funny, and often stylish, and Sam Rockwell and, especially, Saoirse Ronan do great work.
See How They Run works better as a weird relationship movie than as a murder mystery, but it’s still a lot of fun, with lots of laughs, a lot of style, and a great cast. It also proves again that Saoirse Ronan is a god of comedy.
