Does honk for jesus save your soul have post credit scene: “Honk for Jesus. Save Your Soul.” is billed as a satirical comedy, and it does a good job of both of those things all the way through. Any movie about religion, especially if it’s funny, is likely to be controversial, but “Honk for Jesus. Save Your Soul.” is never cruel.
This is because Ebo draws on her own life as a Southern Baptist growing up, and even though the satire is sharp, it never feels mean. The movie doesn’t seem to want to make fun of organized religion. Instead, it seems to be more interested in the hypocritical parts of faith and the idea that preaching is a performance.
I didn’t know much about the Southern Baptist religion, but I’ve thought a lot about faith and religion, so I found “Be loud about Jesus. Save Your Soul “a positive thing to do. It’s clear that Ebo knows a lot about not only religious practices but, more importantly, the people who live in the area. What is religion, after all, without people?
Even though there is less comedy and more character drama, there are still some very funny parts in “Be loud about Jesus. Save Your Soul.”
One comes during a scene in church where a young girl named Aria (Selah Kimbro Jones) is washed by the Pastor. The group then starts to sing and dance, and the girl and the Pastor are so moved by the holy spirit that they start speaking in tongues.
In a talking head interview, the camera cuts to Arial, who says, “I love the theater.” It’s a great moment that shows how different people can react to the same thing. Some of the people seem genuinely moved and changed, but Aria is just having fun and joining in the drama.
Does honk for jesus save your soul have post credit scene?
You know the rules: every Satire movie has to have at least one extra scene for people who stay until the end of the credits. In spite of the fact that “Honk for Jesus” is marketed as a satirical comedy, the film more closely resembles a character study. In addition, in order for a character study to be successful, it is necessary to have a compelling subject matter as well as a performer who is up to the task. Regina Hall is not a novice when it comes to delivering outstanding performances; she is outstanding in “”Support the Girls” and “Girls Trip” are both wonderful films, but “Honk for Jesus” is not one of them. Save Your Soul “is her best work yet.
