“BM kids”, “BM son” And More. What’s the Meanings?

by Narendra

In the last few days, a lot of TikTok and Twitter posts have mentioned “BM kids” or “BM son” or something similar. What does the acronym stand for?

The phrase has become more popular recently, whether it’s someone surprising one of their kids with a PS5 in front of their “BM son” or someone dropping off food “for all my BM kids but they don’t sound appreciated enough.”

But the fact that “BM” can mean more than one thing may have made some Internet users confused.

So, what do the phrases “BM son” and “BM kids” mean on TikTok, Twitter, etc., and what are some other ways to interpret the acronym “BM”?

‘BM son’ and ‘BM kids’ meanings explained

When people on the Internet talk about their kids as “BM,” it means that the kids are rude.

So, in the next post, where the user talks about dropping off food for their “BM kids” and complains that they aren’t grateful enough, the clip of Michael Jackson clapping is meant to show that they want their kids to be grateful.

Others have said that they bought “matching Jordans” for one son while their “BM kids wore Skechers.”

But, based on the current posts, the most popular version of it is from June 30, 2022.

BM son’ meme goes viral on TikTok

Nearly 700,000 people have watched the short video on Twitter, and 3 million people have watched it on TikTok. YouCappertv, who made it and is 22 years old, has 1.3 million likes on their videos and 21.7K followers on the platform.

On the latter, it has gotten more than 500,000 likes and 5,000 comments.

During the video, which is only seven seconds long, a parent surprises one son with a Playstation 5, while the other son, who isn’t shown on-screen, screams in pain. The sound is pretty scary.

But it might have been added on its own. The most popular comment on the video says that it is “TikTok’s best inside joke since the twisted tea video.” The New York Post has that one here.

Meanings of ‘BM’

In the above TikTok video, “BM” means “bad manners,” but it can also mean other things.

It’s important to note, though, that Urban Dictionary’s most popular entry for “BM” is from 2007 and says that it means “bad-mannered.” @rustyn, a UD contributor, says that the acronym came from Korean computer players. Another entry says that it is popular in the Starcraft (II) community.

What is “BM kids”, “BM son”

“BM” could also mean “baby mother” (or “baby mama”), “bowel movement,” or “bruh moment,” according to TikTok users.

People say that a situation, event, or occurrence is “inexplicably… whack” in the last one. The first option on the list may be the one most often used in online chats.

Many websites, including The Focus, sometimes call the mother of a man’s child a “baby mama.”

“BM son” meme is the “funniest sound on TikTok right now”

The user on Twitter who shared YouCappertv’s TikTok video that has since gone viral has commented on their own post with an additional example of a meme that uses the sound of a child crying.

They write that “This is the funniest sound that is currently available on TikTok.” It’s not just me who finds it hilarious though. By a significant margin, the original video is YouCappertv’s most watched upload.

In addition, the acronym has begun to spread to other places over the past few days; however, the majority of people still understand “BM” to mean “baby mama,” and this is not likely to change.
