Bella Ramsey Disease: In the new drama set after the end of the world, Bella Ramsey stars with Pedro Pascal.

Bella Ramsey has changed a lot since her days on Game of Thrones, when she played a small ruler.

The 19-year-old English actress stars with Pedro Pascal, who was also in Game of Thrones, in The Last of Us, an HBO original series based on a video game.

Ramsey plays Ellie Williams, a teen who is immune to the fungus that has transformed the world into a post-apocalyptic landscape full of “infected.” Pascal plays Joel Miller, a smuggler who is on his way to give Ellie to a group of rebels in the hope that she will be the cure.

She told the New York Times, “It’s only been recently that I’ve accepted that I am Ellie, I can do it, and I’m a good actor.” “But this will only last a few weeks, and then I’ll feel bad about myself again. That’s just how it works.”

Ramsey has said that she isn’t much of a gamer, but she was still drawn to the lead role of Ellie and felt close to her “for reasons I couldn’t explain.” As Neil Druckmann and Craig Mazin, the show’s creators, suggested, the actress didn’t play the real game to prepare for the role. She told the Times that she went to YouTube to watch important game scenes, which helped her “feel confident that the Ellie I felt inside of me, under my skin, was the right one.”

Ramsey got so into the role of Ellie that it was hard to tell where Ellie ended and her real self began.

“At the end of a shoot day, people always ask me how I get back into being Bella,” she said. “But I didn’t know how to do that with Ellie because we were so tied together.”

Here’s everything you need to know about Bella Ramsey, from how she worked with Pascal to how she got rid of her American accent.

Bella Ramsey Disease: Bella Ramsey has an eating disorder

Ramsey told people on Twitter in October 2018 about how hard it was for her to deal with an eating disorder. In a series of tweets about World Mental Health Day, she said that she was diagnosed with anorexia nervosa “just over a year ago,” but that she had been sick for about a year before that.

“There isn’t always a right answer, but there is always a way out. No matter how dark things look, there’s always light at the end of the tunnel “she typed. “I’m lucky to have found that light, even though there were times when it didn’t seem to be there. But it was there all along.”

She said that religion was a “huge part” of her recovery, but in 2023, she told the New York Times that her faith is now “a lot quieter.”
